I've really enjoyed reading this website for my research into the Merchant Navy and hope that some of you might be able to help me. I am researching WWII for a series of documentaries for Channel 4. I would love the opportunity to speak to anybody who remembers the Battle of the Atlantic, in particular if you served in the earlier years of WWII. I'd be really interested to hear from you if you were aboard a convoy that was targetted by German torpedo - for example if you were aboard SS Athenia or the Royal Oak in 1939 or Convoy SC 7 or SC-42 heading from Canada to Britain in 1940 and 1941 respectively.

Please feel free to contact me if you remember these events or have an interesting story that you'd like to share.

Thanks so much and I hope to hear from you soon.
