At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them.

The 85 Prince of Wales boys who gave their lives in the service of their country 1939 -1946.

The PWSTS WW2 Memorial Plaque Service of Remembrance was held at the Holy Trinity church Ingham at 11:00 hrs on Sunday 20th May 2007. Thank you to everyone who lives at Ingham village for welcoming the PWSTS back home and making the day one to always remember.

For the last two years I have been transcribing of the Deaths at Sea Register 1939-1945 recording the names of all the Merchant Seamen who died during the war years who did not qualify for war grave status due to the circumstances of their deaths. As of today it is completed and is ready to be handed over to the relevant authorities in the hope of some formal recognition be granted.

Of the 4,716 pages I had to read through, I have compiled the names of 5,370 Merchant Seamen who have been forgotten.

I was hoping the last four names from the PWSTS memorial would be amongst them, but unfortunately for now they still remain elusive.
