Crossed the Bar - Gordon Strachen

Sad news I'm afraid. I have just heard from his granddaughter that GORDON  STRACHEN passed away just before Xmas. He will be cremated on the 17th of January at 3.30pm at Gorleston Crematorium Yarmouth. I was with him at Ingham school in 1952 and sailed with him on the ORCADES.  We met several times during our retirement pursuing our hobby of antique collecting.  In the photo Gordon is 1st on the left top row. Regards Dave Dunlop.

Message from Gordon's granddaughter:

Hi, I'm hoping you can help me - my Grandfather is featured in this video and has recently passed away. My Mother and I have been wondering what colour the Ingham Sea School has? We were hoping to do a ribbon for him in this colour. You can email me directly at <removed> thank you so much.

I have responded to Emily and have provided the web site address and colour details as requested. I have conveyed the condolences of all our Old Boys to her and her family.

Sad news indeed.
