Hello Andy,

I sent the following information to you by email 24th September. As I have not heard back, I don't know if you have received it, so have posted here.

I've been doing some more research into those killed in WWII who were from the PWSTS and have found the following to add to the previous list I sent you some years back. Some of the surnames are spelt slightly different to the PWSTS memorial board, but this is quite common and I have come across this typo error many times over the years. There are still a number a can't trace, either because I can't positively narrow the individuals down. Example I have 3 George Liddle's on file, one I can discount as he was 63 when killed in 1940, which would probably rule him out of attending PWSTS. The other two are the right age, but no more information can make a positive ID. Also there is only one SPARROW registered with the CWGC, a SPARROW
, Master, OSWALD EUSTACE, M.V. Tricula (London). Merchant Navy. 3rd August 1942. Age 36. Son of Thomas George and Ann Sparrow; husband of Nora Sparrow, of Pinner, Middlesex.  His first name being Oswald, though the memorial board states the name Oliver. Others like CHARLES F. DE LA HAYE, I can find nothing remotely close.
BLAIR, Ordinary Seaman, WILLIAM O'NEIL, S.S. Abukir (London). Merchant Navy. 28th May 1940. Age 17. Son of Thomas and Margaret Blair. Panel 2.
BRENNAND, Deck Boy, THOMAS NICHOLSON, M.V. Stentor (Liverpool). Merchant Navy. 27th October 1942. Age 18. Panel 101.
FOGERTY, Cadet, BRIAN EDGAR, S.S. Harlesden (London). Merchant Navy. 22nd February 1941. Age 17. Son of Cyril Hector and Dorothy Fogerty, of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.  Panel 55.

HABERMEL, Able Seaman, ARTHUR FREDERICK, S.S. Pacific. Merchant Navy. 1st March 1941. Age 20. Son of Frederick Charles Habermel, and of Clara L. M. Habermel, of Marylebone, London.  Panel 78.

HEWETT, Able Seaman GEORGE WILLIAM, D/SSX 28035. H.M.S. Roberts. Royal Navy. 11th November 1942. Son of William Ernest and Rose Annie Hewett, of Alcombe, Somerset. Commemorated Plymouth Naval Memorial. Panel 65, Column 2.

HUMPHRY, Able Seaman, GUY ROY, S.S. Empire Surf (Sunderland). Merchant Navy. 14th January 1942. Age 20. Son of Ernest William and Nelly Humphry, of St. Martins, Guernsey, Channel Isles.  Panel 46.

MARSHALL, Leading Seaman,  BENJAMIN, C/X 20439A H.M.S. Martin. Royal Naval Reserve. 10th November 1942. Commemorated Chatham Naval Memorial. Panel 65, Column 3.
ROWLEY, Mate, DAVID, H.M. Drifter High Tide. Merchant Navy. 30th March 1945. Age 34. Husband of E. Rowley, of Holyhead. Buried Holyhead (Maeshyfryd) Burial Board Cemetery. Sec. 3. Grave 120.
