Michael Bennett had his 64 th birthday recently and as a surprise his son had obtained copies of the ships agreement (where you signed on) and had them framed. In fact it also included several other documents which had his name on in the signing on process. Michael showed them to me using Skype and I was very impressed. What a great birthday present. Anyway, I have discussed this with Michael and he has no problem with me mentioning all this on the Forum. So without further delay, here is the relevant website you need to look up to find out what to do if you want your records,
My understanding is that only 5 or 10% of the original records were kept in England, the rest were transfered to a university research centre in Canada. They are entrusted to look after them and provide copies as required. Obviously there is a cost involved.
Sorry I have to close down as we have another major storm with lots of thunder and lightening, Catch you all later, Stu
