This section is only to be used by the PWSTS National Memorial Arboretum Committee. The committee aims to explore the possibilities of having a permanent memorial to the PWSTS at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. The committee will decide on an appropriate memorial and follow the project through to display.

Please do not post any comments in this area unless it specifically relates to the project.

The elected Chairperson is Sax (Peter Washington) who will have full control over the project. The elected Secretary is Diddy Dee (Denise Richardson).

Please see below a request from the National Memorial Arboretum.

The Armed Forces Memorial at The National Memorial Arboretum has been nominated for a National Lottery Award and is competing against nine other projects in the Best Heritage Project category.  To win this Award they are calling for people to vote for them.

The National Lottery Awards are an annual search to find the UK 's favourite Lottery-funded projects. The aim is to celebrate and recognise the difference that those projects have made to people, places and communities across the UK .

Winning the award would help to further commemorate the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.  It will also help acknowledge the suffering of the families and loved ones left behind, including those affected by current conflicts.

Please take a minute to vote by visiting  www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk/awards

From there, click on the Best Heritage Project category and vote for the Armed Forces Memorial (National Memorial Arboretum).

Alternatively you can call  0845 386 4459  to register your phone vote.

Voting continues until Friday 4 July.

Every vote counts so if you can spare the time please vote and send to all your contacts too!
