Assistance to a member of the public:

Dear Sir or Madam,
 
I have been looking for a photo or some information on a Cardiff based steamship called ss Porthmeor that William Richard Jenkins A.B. served on in 1941.
I would appreciate any information on same.

Sorry have not yet found any photos of the ship. If I were you I would pose the same question on this site:

The site is much bigger than here and boasts a lot of expertise in solving questions of this sort.  For example searching local press archives and possibly RNLI records about the incident, also locating seamans records.
