To commemorate the centenary of World War 1, we are launching our new online exhibition today: Our War at Sea

As the war was entering its final phase, P&O's Chairman, later 1st Earl of Inchcape, remarked in 1917:

"No words can express what this country owes to our merchant seamen for their services to the nation during this war."

Let us not forget their sacrifice...

An impressive Commemoration and insite to the "Great War" at sea, with many references to "our Brave Men at Sea", and a complete list of all lost serving P & O and BI, but comming from a ship owner, no mention of their pay being stopped as soon as their ship was sunk!

Still, once I had stopped throwing up, a very thought provoking site.

Roger.
