It has been so long since I have posted on this site, that I forgot how to do it, but then, that is how my live is now!!! Siill the one bright t spot on the horizon is the thought of your company at Tower Hill on the 8th.
Hope to see you all then.
In the mean time, I am following up a lead to a PWSTS lad that I sailed with on the Port Vindex back in 1959. I joined her in Antwerp as JOS and shared a cabin with a lad who's name was Ian Arnold, and came from Norwood in London.
See you all soon,
Roger.

It was good to attend Tower Hill this year and to meet everyone again although it was noticeable that numbers are decreasing all around and medical matters are also beginning to afflict PWSTS more and more and for all that could not attend please know that you were not forgotten.
One small memory abides: When the people from the main body were coming forward in their lines to lay their wreathes one gentleman sitting at the side wearing the white beret of the Arctic Convoy veterans, rose to his feet with, I presume, his daughter holding one arm and a burly Sea Cadet the other he painfully shuffled forward to lay his. He was very obviously suffering but was equally determined in his intention. As he neared the front, the next line approached from his left and was on a collision course, but the leading gent then stopped to allow him first access, smartly drawing to attention and saluting him as he passed.
