Sad news indeed, Robert (Bob, The Whip) Pounder passed away last Thursday 22.8.24. Those of us here will surely miss him, his written contributions to this forum his sharp wit and life views unique in every way and expressed in only the way the Whip could do it. Rest in Peace Whip, condolences to Joan his wife and daughters Felicity and Kimberly, all friends and those who had a chuckle from his unmatched written expression of life.

It came as sad news having only a short while ago conversed with him and for all intents he seemed well.
Nonetheless he was in good heart and no doubt sailed into the sunset with his indomitable spirit, shame that this board slowly died away but again as in life it was inevitably so.
I'm glad that he got what he wished for in the end a return to Auz, we all move closer to that tide that takes us over the bar, the PWSTS was a corner stone to our young lives and bred a breed last of the dying breath of an empire.
I'm glad to be of my age and experienced those best years, now as the UK and the world changes beyond for me a better time and place this generation of disrespectful and weak pathetic creatures are welcome to it.
So for Bob he's in a better place, blue seas and fair winds blow, you and yours take care, I'll catch you on the fly paper one of these days, all the very best to all who read this and stay safe ye brothers of the Red Duster.
Best regards to all.

I looked forward to Bob's emails. He always managed to make me smile. I will miss his wit, sometimes weird and sometimes dark. He was a good man and wanted nothing but the best for his family. He will be missed.
