Dave Smithers has just informed the PWSTS Society that his brother Jack Smithers has now left us.
Jack trained at Dover in 1954, and Dave followed him ten years later.
Jack resided in Australia on leaving the Merchant Navy.
This is extremely sad news and on behalf of the Prince of Wales Sea Training School I would like to pass on our condolences and best wishes to Dave and his family.
Jack will be sadly missed by family and shipmates alike.
