Roger has also taken the time and trouble to produce waterproof PWSTS wreath inserts. If you attend a service in the future and wish to lay a wreath please contact me if you would like a PWSTS insert.

Thanks Roger.

Update photos from Roger. Please note that the address for PWSTS displayed in the leaflet attached to the wreath is out of date.

For general circulation.

On June 5th next week I will lay a wreath in Remembrance of the Merchant Navy sailors who were killed during the D-Day Landings on June 6th 1944 and during the weeks that followed. This will be done during a Remembrance Service in the afternoon at the Royal & Merchant Navy Memorial in the British Garden of Remembrance in Caen. The MN wreath I will lay, at the same time as a Royal Navy representative lays his wreath.

On 6th June in the evening (approx. 6 p.m.), I will also lay a wreath during the Main D-Day Remembrance Service, which will be attended by Royalty, in remembrance of the 2,450 Merchant Navy sailors who were killed during Operation Neptune on D-Day and during the weeks that followed. This is a major event and will be covered extensively by the BBC in a series of live broadcasts on that day.

The following has been passed on to me from Tim Brant.

Yours aye
Malcolm

The 70th anniversary of the D-Day Landings will be commemorated this week.  There are two programmes tonight on BBC 2 TV from 2200/23.59 hours.  BBC 1 TV has programmes daily at 09.15 hours for 45 minutes from Monday 2 Thursday 5 June.
6 June, BBC 1 TV has programmes from 09.15/12.45 hours and 13.30/18.30 hours with a BBC 2 TV programme from 20.00/21.00 hours.  We hope to see Don Hunter laying wreaths at Caen and Arromanches.

Regards,

Tim
